My soul is so refreshed! We had a prayer and worship service Tuesday thru Thursday this week at our church, Summit Church. It was extremely life giving and renewing. The cooler weather is my absolute favorite, and it makes my heart happy! Plus fall and winter clothes are my weakness…I want it all!!! Luckily, it was my birthday this week, so I got some new clothes (insert clap hands). In our moms group, we are reading “Present Over Perfect” by Shauna Niequist, and I cannot explain how life changing it is! Here is one of my favorite quotes as of late. “The world will tell you how to live, if you let it. Don’t let it. Take up your space. Raise your voice. Sing your song. This is your chance to make or remake a life that thrills you” Excerpt From: Niequist, Shauna. “Present Over Perfect.” Zondervan, 2016-06-01. iBooks. Shauna causes you to re-evaluate where you are at in life, and if it is where you truly want to be. She also helps you realize what is important and what is not. I have been able to shed damaging expectations I had on myself. I highly recommend this book for anyone!
Naturally, we got dressed up in our fall gear! It was 55 degrees this morning, so perfect. I love this Goodnight Macaroon grey cardigan! It is comfy and casual. I just got these Topshop black distressed jeans on sale for my birthday! They are only $40. I wear these shoes from Nordstrom at least a few times a week. I would wear a hat every day if my two year old would allow it, but he is constantly saying “my turn” when I wear it. So I wore this maroon one while he was at MDO! I got the matching bracelet to my Kendra Scott necklace for my birthday, thanks Alexandra! I got several sweaters I am thrilled to style for my birthday as well. Those will make future posts for sure. Roxy was looking cute, comfy, and casual! I am currently swooning over the color of her sweater, which is why my nails are that color. She just picked up these distressed jeans from Old Navy. After snapping these pictures, we were able to have a girls lunch at Imperial Taproom in Canyon. If you get a chance, you should definitely try it! Being able to have an adult conversation really helps me get out of my mom mode. I truly hope you all have a fabulous and refreshing weekend!
