Happy new year! I am ready for 2017!
Being content is such a struggle for me! Roxy and I have discussed this many times. I’m not unhappy with life by any means, but I’m thinking of what is next…what house are we buying/building next, what vacation can we take next, when are we upgrading our vehicles, when we will be able to spend more on fun things, what area of ministry will we head into next, when will Emmitt sleep through the night and the list goes on and on. Meanwhile, life with my husband and two babies are passing me by. I am missing all those precious moments. Why? Because in my mind, we will all be better when we get to that point. I had convinced myself it was the planner in me. I plan things, so this only makes since to plan out what is next. I am much better now, but I have been notorious for jumping the gun. Buying a car on whim is just one of the several things I have done. Ugh! If only I had prayed and been content in my current season. In Philippians chapter 4, we are told to be content in whatever situation. So this year, I am going to do just that, no matter what season that brings. Even if that means staying in the same car, the same house, and keeping the same budget. I do not do well just waiting, and I think God has been working on my heart in this area. Of course, we have seasons of just waiting, but I think I know better and can help the process along. I will be prayerful and listen to that still small voice in each season as well. That way, I avoid jumping the gun, and then God have to redirect my path once again. I am so thankful He gives so much grace. I hope all of you will learn to be content as well, and be present in your current season.
We want to share about a fun shop called Syd’s Closet! I linked the Facebook page here. Sydney is such a fun and genuine young lady. Her joy is contagious! Sydney’s style is fabulous as well. I’m always admiring her unique pieces. She has these burgundy overalls that are to die for! Naturally, we would love her jewelry line. It is for men and women! I have added several of her pieces below, so you can get a glimpse. She offers custom pieces as well. Make sure to check her Facebook page out!
