I hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far! I have been slow getting into a groove this week. I think it was the holiday weekend, plus my sisters being home and out of school Monday. When we get to hang out during the week, I just want them to stay with me 24/7 and be my sidekicks! (insert eye roll emoji from both of them) We actually had to make a quick trip to my hometown to see my grandma last night. She ended up in the hospital and lost her dog/best friend all in one day! So keep my sweet grandma in your prayers if you get a chance.
Happy hour with the girls?! YES! YES! YES! I was thrilled when Ashlee sent over the pictures from our most recent event, happy hour at Cafe J in Lubbock! If you haven’t already, you NEED to try Cafe J. We had brunch at our last event, and it was delicious. We went for happy hour this time, and it couldn’t have been any more fun and enjoyable. I think I ate my weight in appetizers…chips and salsa, fries, a cheese tray, and buffalo mac & cheese to name a few! The mac & cheese was my FAVORITE! If you are a wine girl, you will LOVE this place as well. The selection and set up made for an extra special evening. All of May, Cafe J has 40% off rose wines! You can check out their Instagram @cafejlubbock to see the new dishes and events posted frequently. When I see the pictures, it makes me want to make a two hour drive just to eat there. A HUGE thank you to Cafe J for being such amazing hosts! Also, to Ashlee, for once again organizing an extraordinary event for all of us!
The best part about the event was getting to know some of the bloggers even better and meeting a few for the first time! They are all so kind and genuine, which is so refreshing. Not to mention, they are all willing to share their knowledge. Rox and I have learned a TON from these sweet girls and are very thankful! I listed them below. I know you will LOVE each and every one of these girls, so give them a follow. Since it was a group of bloggers, all my favorites were there…ruffles, distressed and frayed denim, Bauble Bar earrings, floral prints, and white denim. I wore my favorite off-the-shoulder top from 79/Salt with my Express frayed skinny jeans and Target sandals. This is the perfect outfit for a girls night! My go-to is casual dressy, I know so official, but seriously it is what I keep in mind when getting ready for lunches, coffee dates, and girls nights. My hair dresser, Maranda @marandamaehair, is seriously AMAZING! I adore her extra for putting up with me, she did my hair that day.
Rox was wearing her #ootd tee from Styles by Strut! They sent us both this shirt, and we have worn it several times. It is COMFY and has a cute pocket! This top can be worn very casual, but it can also be dressed up a bit like Rox did. Styles by Strut offers amazing pieces, so make sure to visit their site or Instagram @stylesbystrut. We will be doing a whole post soon on their pieces!
(Who doesn’t love a good laughing pic?!)
Have a blessed day!
